What is the difference between regular sunless tanning and express sunless tanning? A. The express tanning has more concentration of the bronze color and DHA. This tan is good for last minute beauty emergency call and it will last from 7-10 days. Q. Can I work out right after tanning? When should I shower? How long should I wait? A. No. You should not sweat for 8-12 hours with the regular tanning. But, if you get the express tanning you only wait 1 hour for light tan, 2 hours for medium tan, or 3 hours for darker tan and shower with only cool to warm water. Q. How long will the tanning appointment take? A. From 20-30 minutes. There is no rubbing involved with applying the spray tan. Q. How long does the tan last? A. From 7-10 days. It fades like a natural tan. Q. Am I going to have bronze color when I finish my tanning appointment? A. Yes. You will have "just walked off the beach" bronze color. Q. Who will perform the service/spray tan? A. I will perform the spray tan myself. You will not leave the room until I make sure you have glamour even color bronze all over. Q. Can I wear make-up during my tanning appointment and shortly thereafter? A. No. I would like you to have no make-up during the spray tan, but if you prefer not to spray your face, that will be fine too. I recommend waiting 12 hours before washing your face and taking a shower. Your face will look a glamourous bronze anyway! You will not need any make-up however you may use lipstick. You may wear full make-up after your first shower if you desire. Q. Will my skin look orange? A. Absolutely Not! I will apply just enough color to get the result we are looking for. How safe is spray tanning? A. Very safe! The formula contains only essential, natural, safe ingredients. It is alcohol-free and fragrance-free. It is also hypoallergenic. The FDA approved Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) penetrates only the top layer of the skin. It does not absorb into the body or bloodstream. Q. Will my skin develop adverse reaction such as rash, breakouts, or hives? A. No! What kind of the exfoliator should I use? A. Nouvelle Beaute' carries the loofah bath shower scrub and refine body polish with AHA's (use both together) which I strongly recommend ! Q. What kind of shower gel should I use to care for my tan? A. Nouvelle Beaute also carries relaxing bath & shower gel & invigorating bath and shower gel especially made for clients who tan. Using a product have AHA, will cause fading quickly, cause it bleaches your skin. If you use Nouvelle Beaute Spray Tan care products, you can rest asuured that you will have a perfect tan result. Q. Can I use my loofah bath or my scrubbing loofahs after tanning? A. No! I prefer you use your hands instead. You can use your loofahs scrub right before your following tanning session. Q. Why my tan is flaking off quickly? A. Cause you didn't exfoliate properly before your tanning session and did not use moisturizer twice daily after the first shower. Also the use of wrong shower gel or soaps, that will fade the color fast. Q. What should I use to get rid off the remaining color after the tan has faded? A. Nouvelle Beaute Loofah bath shower scrub, refine body polish with AHA's, and any facial or body hair lighting products. Q. Can I take hot showers or baths after my sunless tan? A. No! Semi-warm is best. No long showers or baths either! Q. Can I get in the swimming pool, hot tub, or jacuzzi with my sunless tan? A. Of course you can!! NOT!! That will cause streaks and fading to the tan, due to the chemicals specially chlorine. Q. Can I shave or wax my legs before tanning? A. Yes. Q. Can I use moisturizer or deodorant before tanning? A. No. But, you need to moisturize your airbrush tan (after the first shower) every day, twice a day if you have dry skin. Q. What should I wear in my tanning appointment? A. Some people prefer to wear old swimming suit, dark colored undergarments to be sprayed in, or nothing at all during tanning. After tanning, you should wear loose fitting dark clothing, (no jeans), and loose flip flop. Q. Will the spray tan stain my clothes, bed sheets, and/or my car seat? A. You should wear long, dark pants or skirts (until your first shower) to protect any surface (in case of sweating) that you may come in contact with (i.e. car seats, bed sheets, sofas, etc.). However, the tan will dry quickly and is water-based, so it rarely transfers to clothing or bed sheets. If any color does get transferred, it can be easily washed in a normal cycle and will not stain. Q. Does the spray tan dry fast? A. Yes. You will blow dry your body until the solution is dry (about 5 minutes). .Q. Does sunless spray tan contain sun screen? A. No. Your tan should already developed after your initial shower.
